This procedure provides guidance as to how your organisation will identify, develop, implement and maintain training and competency requirements at each level of the organisation.  It demonstrates your commitment to providing workers with the skills and knowledge to efficiently and effectively complete the required tasks of their role.

The purpose of this procedure is to:

  • Ensure competencies required to fulfil roles are identified through risk assessment and training needs analysis
  • Ensure all relevant competency requirements for each position are documented and communicated
  • Establish a systematic planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting process for training requirements at all levels of the business
  • Ensure suppliers are able to demonstrate competency of work for which they are engaged
  • Ensure your organisation provides the necessary level of awareness, information, instruction and training to maintain the required skills and knowledge for workers to undertake their work tasks.
