The purpose of this procedure is to outline the process and method for providing a uniform and consistent approach to:

• The development and management of business documentation
• Manage business records
• Review documentation for adequacy and approval prior to use, and currency during use
• Identify external documents required for the effective functioning of the business
• Ensure the availability of internal and external documentation to all personnel for use
• Manage superseded documents
• Manage data generated from information systems used in the business

This procedure addresses all of the requirements for ISO certification standards.
